I am farming up Dwarven Metal Ingots in N'chuand-zel to level up my Smithing faster but I grow impatient when I try to wait 30 in-game days in Skyrim around seconds to wait I read about using the "tfc" command but I fear, considering I am using a console command, that it may break the game, corrupt the save, etc.

Is fast traveling any help than to actually wait just to make it more "legit" than to actually use console commands? If so, from which should I start fast travelling and whereto? If the latter, between whence and whereto? Between which two places is the most efficient? Tested on my system Windows 8. Waiting takes 22 seconds for every 20 hours , which would make waiting hours take 13 minutes and 12 seconds.

Fast travelling a long distance Fort Dawnguard to Castle Volkihar 1 , including map navigation time took 9. That would make "waiting" hours take a little under 4 minutes in total. On PC you can use tfc console command to go into free camera mode.

While in this mode, waiting is a lot faster with 20 hours taking just over 2 seconds! This way of waiting is the fastest option by far. This makes waiting hours take just a minute and a half! Which is quicker depends on how long the loading screen lasts. Waiting 24 hours takes about 30 seconds so if you can open the menu, fast travel and get through the loading screen faster, it's faster to do that.

And for what purposes currently are you using wait time, just asking, maybe not use it as much? Originally posted by jaderive :. You can use console to alter the time scale. Make a save first, though, every time.

For your purposes, just waiting from night to day, maybe do , instead of That should put you in day time pretty quickly. Don't forget to set it back, as soon as you get where you want. Originally posted by jreese46 :.
